We only collect the minimum amount of information necessary to run the service and schedule your posts:

• Account Credentials: We collect your email address when you sign up. This is used solely to identify your account, send you password reset requests, and notify you of important service changes.
• Social Network Connection Keys: When you connect a social media account (like Bluesky or Mastodon), we receive credentials (tokens) that let us post on your behalf. We store these securely using advanced encryption, ensuring no unauthorized parties can access them.
• Scheduled Posts & Media: We store the text and media attachments of the posts you schedule so that we can publish them at your selected times.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to provide the scheduling and publishing services you request:

• To log you into your account and manage your active session.
• To deliver your scheduled posts to your connected social channels at the time you requested.
• To process your subscriptions and billing info (billing is securely handled by our third-party checkout provider, LemonSqueezy). We do not store or process credit card numbers on our servers.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data or connection keys with any third-party advertising services.

4. Data Security & Integrity

Your account tokens and posts are protected. We store your account keys in an encrypted format using security best practices to protect against leaks, unauthorized access, or loss. Only our automated publisher scheduler interacts with these keys when publishing posts.

5. Your Choices & Deleting Your Data

You are always in control of your data:

• Disconnecting Accounts: You can disconnect any social media account at any time from your settings. Doing so immediately and permanently deletes its connection credentials from our database.
• Deleting Your Account: You can delete your silkysips account at any time. Account deletion immediately and permanently wipes your profile, all scheduled posts, and all connected social media keys.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our service. If we make any significant changes, we will notify you through the email associated with your account or via a prominent notification in the app dashboard.
